We leave 2/21 for our first Disney Cruise. Are there plenty of outlets in the staterooms to charge devices like nooks, etc. or should we bring a power strip like we do when staying in hotels?

Welcome aboard, Elizabeth! You must already have your suitcases out and ready to pack for your cruise that is coming up so soon! It's always fun to get ready to sail with Disney!

The staterooms do have a few extra outlets, but not many. You'll find two on the desk that are very easily accessible. For iphones and ipods, you can easily charge those in the iPod/iPhone dock radio clock next to the bed, so no extra charger or outlet needed for that!

Disney Cruise Line lists extension cords and power strips as some of the prohibited items, due to fire hazards, so you are not able to bring your own. However, the good news is, if you get onboard and find that the two outlets on the desk aren't enough, you can borrow an extension strip at guest services. There are a few available to borrow free of charge, however if not returned by the end of the cruise, you'll be charged a $50 fee. It's like a deposit, so just be sure to return it.

Honestly, I've found that rotating my charging needs on the two plugs, and using the clock dock for my iPhone and iPod has worked out perfectly, so I don't think you'll have any problems.

Have a wonderful cruise with Mickey, Elizabeth!
