Ahoy, Kristina!
I can feel the excitement in your question, which makes me excited for you! You are so lucky to have the earliest port arrival time possible. When you enter the terminal at Port Canaveral, you will first go through security with your carry-on bags. Then, you will come into the large, open port terminal that is exclusive to Disney Cruise Line.
Inside the terminal, there are check-in desks to your left, where your family will receive their Key to the World cards, as well as a daily navigator and a boarding number. Then, you will have approximately an hour to explore the terminal before boarding begins. This time goes very quickly, believe me! There is a large model of the Disney Magic that is pretty cool to check out, especially for the kids. Plus, Mickey Mouse and some of his friends might come out to take pictures in front of this model with your family members.
You will also have time to check your kids into the
Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab areas. They will receive their special Mickey bands, that will allow them access into the kids' areas onboard. There will be counselors there that can answer any questions that you might have as well.
Depending on your boarding group, you should be onto the Disney Dream soon after they begin boarding around 11:30am. The boarding groups move quickly, so be sure to be listening for your number!
I hope you have an amazing time on the beautiful Disney Dream.
Happy Cruising, Tracy V.
