I leave in 29 days and am taking my 2 DD's 7&5 by myself. I don't think they need a stroller in the parks but we have a day where we are going to AK in the am then a nap and MVMCP at night. would it be a good idea to rent a double that night?

Hi, Natalie!  I think whether you are going to need a stroller depends on a couple of things.  My two youngest daughters are eight and four, and I know the four year old wouldn't be caught in a stroller if her life depended on it.  Ever since she could walk, she wanted to be out and about like the "big girls", no matter how tired she got.  The older of the two, however, was always one to lounge in the lap of luxury, and if she could see Walt Disney World from the comfort of her seat, there was no need to get her feet involved in the process.  If your girls have the determined to do it on their own mindset, you may not need a stroller.

On the other hand, if you are going to be up early for Disney's Animal Kingdom in the morning, doing a lot of walking there; then hoping for an afternoon nap that may or may not work out well; then tackling the evening's party, you may find especially the younger of the two girls needing to sit some things out.  Having the stroller is quite convenient if you use it for the kids to rest while waiting for the parade or fireworks; and you may find it easier to navigate the park by yourself if both kids are corralled in one spot, seated in the stroller.

I think I might play it by ear the day of the party.  If the girls do okay normally without a stroller, and they have an easy morning and a good nap, you probably won't need one.  If the nap thing falls by the wayside, and they spend a good part of the day walking Animal Kingdom, rent one just to have it for everyone's convenience.
