We leave in 19 days!! What are some good snacks to take into the parks? Also what would be some cheap snacks that I could buy inside the parks?

Hi, Jessica!  We take a variety of things into the parks with us, but keep in mind that whatever you take has to be able to withstand the Florida heat - especially this time of year!

Things that generally work well for me are crackers (plain, flavored, or the ones that have cheese or peanut butter in the middle); peanut butter filled pretzels; raisins, granola bars (just try to avoid the ones with chocolate or yogurt coating), trail mixes that have no chocolate, or fruit snacks.  I also keep a couple of juice boxes or pouches with me, or small bottles of water.

As for cheap snacks in the park - you may not find "cheap", but you can find reasonable.  A single piece of fruit (apple, orange, banana) is about a dollar at some of the fruit carts.  Large pretzels are just under four dollars, but they are a good size for sharing among a couple of little kids or even two adults.  Popcorn, which is a favorite snack of both Disney Mom Joanne and Kay, is about three dollars, but add about a dollar more in a souvenir bucket.  Disney Mom Margaret's favorite is a DoleWhip from the Magic Kingdom, which will set you back about $3.50 - but you probably won't want to share those, because they are delicious!  A Kaki Gori shaved ice at EPCOT is just over three dollars, but again, that's a pretty good size for sharing.

    Have a great vacation!
