Hi Jamie!
I wish I was about to escape on a Caribbean cruise in just a few days!!! I'm sure your family can't wait for the fun to begin on your magical voyage! Next week, you can expect highs around 80 and lows in the uppers 60s. The days at sea may be a bit cooler so when packing I would consider bringing summer clothing with a few long-sleeve/pant items and a sweater or jacket for layering. The temps will warm up quickly during the day, but depending how fast the ship is cruising along, it does get breezy.
If you are wondering about any hidden fees, be sure to look over the
"What's Included" page before leaving. I also like to remind Guests that sodas are included in the dining room and at the drink station, but if you order a soft drink from bar or room service, you will be charged for it. Also, be sure you have budgeted money for gratuities because these will be automatically charged to your shipboard account.
Since Disney now has three ships sailing the Caribbean, I'm not sure which vessel you will be on next week! So, here's what I love about DCL! The entertainment is phenomenal, and the nightly shows make you feel as if you have been transformed to a theatre in New York City! My family also loves to experience the activities hosted by the high energy cruise staff! Karaoke, game shows, and the deck parties are all so much fun. While the kids are enjoying the youth spaces, a visit to the spa is always nice! The Rainforest Room is an inexpensive way to relax and rejuvenate in the spa. Another activity we love is viewing one of the latest Disney movies at the Buena Vista Theatre. No matter what your family does be sure to keep your Personal Navigator, the daily cruise newsletter, handy because it will be your go-to guide to all the ship's happenings!
Bon Voyage!
Nancy
