Hi Jamie! Welcome to planDisney!
You're certainly in for a
treat when you visit
The Most Magical Place on Earth! Right now, the Resort is celebrating 50 magical years, and there are so many ways to immerse yourself in the pixie dust! One of my favorite ways is to sample the new sweets that can be found in all four Theme Parks! If you're a "foodie" make sure to check out
The 50th Anniversary Celebration Sips and Bites Guide. I love the way that the snacks tie into the whole ambiance of the Park. The "Glimmer and Shimmer Blondie" at
Disney's Hollywood Studios, and "Walt's Chili Cheese Dog" at
Magic Kingdom Park are just a couple of the EARidescently pleasing new choices!
Having a
Park Hopper Option Theme Park Ticket is the very best way to be able to ride, play and dine your way around the entire 40 square miles of the Resort, and with Disney's many complimentary transportation options, it's fairly simple to get from one place to another. Whether you're taking the
Disney Skyliner, the Monorail, a ferry, or a bus, you know that "a whole new world" is going to open for you when you leave one Park and set foot in another!
There are a few ways to decide if you would rather leave your car or move it with you as you Park Hop throughout the day. If you're hopping from Disney's Hollywood Studios to
EPCOT, you'll easily be able to hop on and off the Disney Skyliner and get a bird's eye view of the Resort on your way to your new destination. Generally, Disney transportation runs for about an hour after Parks close, allowing you plenty of time to stroll back to the Skyliner Station after watching the new nighttime spectacular,
Harmonious.
However, if you're planning on hopping from Disney's Hollywood Studios to Magic Kingdom or Disney's Animal Kingdom, you may be better off driving your car and parking again at your new destination. Parking at your new destination will allow you to easily return to your car later in the day without having to navigate your way back to the original Park. When you
pay to park at your first Park of the morning, you'll actually be paying for a Parking Pass that is good all day and can be used at all four Theme Parks, so you're not spending any more by choosing to drive from Park to Park. If you would rather not move your car, Disney busses have recently reinstated "Park-to-Park" routes, making hopping a breeze anytime after 2 p.m.
Happy Hopping!
