    How late do the Swan and Dolphin water taxis run during Epcot After Hours? Do they run until the end of the event at 1am?

    Hi there Kevin, I'd like to wish you a warm welcome to planDisney!

    My husband and I have a soft spot for the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels with their proximity to the Theme Parks and the ability to take advantage of the complimentary water transportation to and from EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios. If you're one of our special planDisney after dark folks, you know how incredible it is to experience all of the thrills at night at an After Hours event, and I'm happy to let you know what it was like for us recently:

    • These watercraft with their distinctive colors and most sporting the name "FRIENDSHIP" along with a number on their hulls run continuously throughout the day and tend to operate until an hour after the official posted Theme Park hours for the day. This however does not necessarily extend for special, separately-ticketed events as we had experienced during Disney After Hours at Disney's Hollywood Studios when the Cast Members were informing guests that the boats were no longer running and directing them instead to the bus loops.
    • I spoke with an EPCOT Cast Member who let me know that though sometimes guests may be surprised and delighted to find that the complimentary water transportation from the International Gateway may still be in operation later than expected, this is never guaranteed and subject to change without prior notice at any time. They advised that it's always best to speak with the Captain and Cast Member team earlier so that they can give you a definitive answer of their scheduled last ride of the day as you head out to Disney After Hours at EPCOT.
    • Personally we've always found it significantly faster to just head directly on the pathways and along Disney's BoardWalk as opposed to waiting to board a boat for that slow, nighttime sail back to the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin stop. In fact, the Cast Members operating the boats on our most recent rides all reiterated the same thing to guests several times, due to the extra time that it takes to safely maneuver into position, unload and load at each stop.
