How late do the buses run after park closure? If I were to leave Animal Kingdom and go to MK, would I have complimentary transportation back to Animal Kingdom after MK has closed

Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!

Disney resort transportation runs from an hour before a park opens to an hour after it closes. So if the Magic Kingdom Park closes at 9 pm, you would be able to catch a bus until 10 pm to take you from there to Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. Because it would be after 2 pm, when Park Hopping begins, you could also catch a bus from the Magic Kingdom to Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, assuming that the Animal Kingdom park is still also within that 1-hour after closing rule.

If both parks are either open, or within an hour of having closed, you should be fine.

If you just need to get from Point A to Point B within Walt Disney World, but want to speed things up, Disney did just announce the return of the Disney Minnie Van Service Connected by Lyft. It is a great way to travel in polka-dotted style! It may be an extra cost and not complimentary like the bus options we have been discussing, but if you find yourself falling outside of the bus operating times it could be your best option to get to your destination.

Please feel free to write me back directly if you have any follow-up questions.
