Welcome aboard, Narelle!
It is not too late to book a cruise for that time period. Check out the
Find A Cruise page of Disney Cruise Line's website, where you can choose the month and departure port of Port Canaveral, to see what your options are. Be sure to chat with Disney Cruise Line about booking the ground transfers from your resort at Walt Disney World to the cruise port, and after the sailing from the cruise port to the airport or back to the Walt Disney World resort. That is simply the easiest way to include both vacations together! Let Disney take care of the details so you can just show up and enjoy!
Some of my family's favorite cruises have been our
Very Merrytime sailings with Disney! Holidays on the high seas are so magical and Disney offers extra special Christmas themed activities and events every day onboard! Plus, there is nothing like seeing the ships decorated for Christmas! Simply stunning!
Walt Disney World offers a variety of ticket packages, and no special tickets are needed on top of the regular park admission. However, if you want to enjoy an extra special evening at the Magic Kingdom, check out
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, which does require additional admission. You can enjoy a special Christmas parade, greetings with your favorite Disney characters in Christmas attire, and all kinds of other special touches, including a much less crowded park! However, the parks will still be decked out in Christmas decor during the day, so you'll still have the festive spirit in the air if you don't attend the party.
There really is nothing like a Disney vacation at Christmas time! Happy planning, Narelle!
