Is it too late to add trip insurance? I thought it was on the package but it’s not

A very merry welcome to planDisney, Diane!

It looks like you'll be visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth during the most wonderful time of year! With so many holiday favorites returning to Walt Disney World Resort, you're sure to have an extra special trip. You won't want to miss joining in all the festive fun at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party or the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays

Diane, when it comes to travel insurance, you're able to add a Travel Protection Plan for your Walt Disney World Resort vacation up until you make your final payment (due 30 days prior to your arrival date). Since your trip is less than 30 days away, you likely won't be able to add the Travel Protection Plan through the Walt Disney World Resort website. I know this isn't the answer you were hoping for; however, you may still be able to find and add travel insurance through a third-party site if that's something that you'd like to explore.

As you're putting the finishing touches of pixie dust on your magical vacation, take a little time to download and explore the My Disney Experience app before you arrive. A little like holding your own magic wand in your hand, you'll be able to unlock everything that Walt Disney World Resort has to offer. For example, you can check wait times for attractions, view park maps, and even mobile order food - my favorite! This is a great way to minimize waits and maximize the fun.

I'm wishing on a star that your upcoming trip is a most memorable one! If you have any other questions, please write to us again. After all, you've got a friend in me!

    See ya real soon,
