Hey there Yvette and welcome to planDisney. Are you ready to sail the seven seas? I am glad you stopped by with this question to help you get ship shape about adding Guests to your stateroom. According to Disney Cruise Line, you may add Guests to your stateroom anytime before you embark on your journey, even one day in advance. Should you need assistance, contact Disney Cruise Line directly however, if you used a Travel Agent or Disney Vacation Club they will need to make modifications on your behalf. Here are some important requirements that may affect the availability of additional stateroom Guests:
Even though staterooms may have space for a certain number of Guests it does not mean that every state room is or can be completely filled. Disney Cruise Line must take into account the number of people in each muster location so crew members can assign them to the appropriate lifeboat. If all lifeboat spaces are accounted then you will not be able to add a Guest to your stateroom.A recent example: This past summer we were on the Disney Dream for an 11-night Mediterranean Cruise. It was magnificent. The day before we were to disembark another Guest booked a stateroom on the cruise that would immediately follow the current one. Essentially cruising "back-to-back." They met all the requirements to allow that to happen.planDisney Pro Tip: It would be best to add the additional Guest to the initial reservation because the price will be lower than adding them closer to the embarkation day. Then if you need to change you could do it at a later date for a fee that likely will be less than adding them at a later date. Always discuss this option when you book your cruise.Yvette, I know your voyage will be an enchanting sea adventure. Please feel free to write me back directly with any follow-up questions.Enjoy making many Magical Memories.~Jason
