Last year we visited Disney but did not stay on site. Our 2yr old got very sick and we spent the most of our trip in the room. We are returning in Sept. and staying at AKL. Are there any Dr. at the resort or at Disney we could use if it happens agains?

With so many children (and adults) at WDW every day, some of them are bound to get sick. On our very first trip to WDW with our oldest daughter, she started running a fever and complaining of ear pain. Uh oh. Based on the advice of our the advice of the front desk of our hotel (Port Orleans Riverside) we took a quick cab ride to the nearby CentraCare walk-in medical clinic. They diagnosed her ear infection, made sure we had Tylenol to keep her comfortable, and helped up fill a prescription for antibiotics at a pharmacy next door. Because of the quick service, we were back in the parks the next day. The number at CentraCare is 407-934-CARE, if you'd like to call them directly to ask about their services.

If you can't (or don't want to) make it to CentraCare, there is also a network of on call doctors that Disney contracts with that will actually make house calls to your hotel room. A good friend of mine used this service at the Grand Floridian when her son was experiencing digestive issues. She was very happy with the doctor who came to the rescue. Just call the front desk of your hotel to arrange this service.

I hope you have a happy and HEALTHY trip to Disney World.
