Hi, Stephanie! I have used both Garden Grocer and Instacart while at Walt Disney World Resort. I so appreciate the convenience provided by these services! When we stay in a
Disney Vacation Club Resort, I plan to cook a few meals in the room. That means I either need to go grocery shopping myself or use a delivery service. Using a delivery service means I do not have to miss a bit of the magic with my family!
I have always been happy with Garden Grocer and used them for years before trying Instacart this past November. Garden Grocer dropped off our order with Bell Services before we arrived and all I had to do was ask a Bell Services member to bring it up to our room. In my experience, Garden Grocer would shop in advance for most items, at multiple stores if necessary, to get my items at a good price. I personally never had an issue getting exactly what I ordered. If we had alcoholic beverages in our order, then I faxed a copy of my driver's license to them in advance.
My experience with Instacart was also fantastic! The main difference I could tell between the services is that my assigned shopper kept in contact with me the entire time she was shopping at Publix. If there was anything not available, she texted me to see if I would like to make substitutions. I am glad we had just landed at the airport so I did not miss her texts! Since we had wine in our order, I did need to meet her in the lobby of our resort to provide ID. Otherwise, she could have left it with Bell Services. This request can be added to the comments in your order.
To me, the prices between services fluctuated per item, so the final total would have been about the same. I recommend you price out the same order between each and read over the information on their websites to make a decision on which would work best for you. Thanks for stopping by and please let us know if you have any other questions!
