On our last visit to WDW our kids were 4 & 7 and we rented a double stroller each day. It helped them make it through a busy day! We are going again in Jan09, the kids will be 5 & 8. Would u still recommend a stroller? We will be there 7 days.

Although all kids are different, I think it is safe to say that your 5 year-old will appreciate having a stroller available, but you won't need it all of the time.  Your 8 year-old might use it once in a while, but it probably isn't necessary for that age.

My kids are 3.9, 7 and 8.75 year-old, and we rented a single stroller for a day in the Magic Kingdom last week. Our youngest used it all of the time, and often our 7 year-old would take advantage of the stroller by finding a way to sit with our youngest in the same seat (didn't look very comfortable). If we had rented a double stroller, I think our 7 year-old would have been in the stroller even more of the time -- especially later in the day as the "batteries" wore out. Fortunately our oldest seemed fine walking on her own everywhere (this was the first trip this happened) -- she never asked to use the stroller.

So, if your kids are similar, I believe you'd only need to rent a single stroller.

Additionally, I would highly recommend considering bringing your own stroller if you can manage it.  You will save money, likely have more room in it to store personal items, and be able to use it outside the parks (parking lot, resort , airport, etc.).  I also find that it's easier to locate your own stroller (pick a fun/unusual color, if you really want to find it easier) than looking for your name tag through all of the rental strollers that look identical.  This last trip was the first time we ever rented a stroller (vs. bringing our own), and both me and my wife agree -- "Never again!"
