On our last visit we stayed at the Wilderness Lodge. Going again in March 2017 and thinking about what hotel to stay at this time but not spend a TON. Hard to match Wilderness Lodge. Thought on PO - Riverside and Carribean beach? Have a 10 year old boy.

    Hey there Peggi!

How exciting to be planning a Walt Disney World vacation for 2017!  Disney's Wilderness Lodge is one of our family favorites so I can certainly understand being concerned that it will be difficult to match by staying at a different resort. That being said, I think you are considering two great options. I have previously stayed at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort and Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside and think both offer unique theming, fun recreational activities and convenient amenities. As a mom of 11-year-old twin boys, I would have to give a slight edge to Disney's Port Orleans Resort -  Riverside for their age due do its relaxing atmosphere, Southern charm, diversity of recreational activities, and being able to take the ferryboat to Disney Springs. Although this resort is categorized as a Moderate Resort, it honestly feels more like a Deluxe. An added bonus is that you can order mouth watering  beignets at Boatwright's Dining Hall, a rustic Quick-Service restaurant.  Be sure to follow the links I provided above to see what fun awaits at both of these unique Disney Resort hotels.

I hope this information is helpful in making the best decision for your family. Please don't hesitate to stop by again with any additional questions that you may have. Best wishes for a magical trip, Peggi!

    Happy Planning,
    Jodie
