Hello there, Carla. Thanks for reaching out to us again at planDisney. Keep those questions coming!
In the movie
Luca, Alberto says, "Silenzio, Bruno!" It’s his way of telling Luca to quiet the nervous little voice in his head that keeps him from fully enjoying the adventure. Sometimes the best vacation moments happen when you stop overthinking every plan and simply wander into the magic, and Disney’s BoardWalk is one of those places for me. You never know what you're going to see and experience when you're at the
Walt Disney World Resort, and the same is true for the boardwalk.
While there isn't a set schedule, the performers have been known to perform on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings, but this may not be the case when you're there. These experiences are meant to be stumbled upon rather than heavily planned around, and this type of entertainment usually doesn't happen during the day. When you're in the area, I recommend asking a Cast Member in the lobby at
Disney's BoardWalk Inn for more information. But no matter what, nights along the boardwalk always make me think of that simple line from
Luca: “What a beautiful night, huh?”
While there is something magical about this area of the resort at night, there are certainly some great things to see and do during the day. You can see if you can rent a
Surrey Bike, which always puts a smile on my face when I see families pedaling by. And you have to check out
Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs, whose menu changes pretty regularly and has some mouthwatering options. Plus,
Trattoria al Forno is one of my favorites for both breakfast and dinner. And if you are there in the evening and feel like a little dancing, there's always
Atlantic Dance Hall. As someone who regularly visits New England shore towns, this entire area has a very special place in my heart. The whole atmosphere gives me the same carefree, seaside adventure feeling as
Luca, just a little more New Jersey boardwalk than Italian Riviera!
Now, don't forget that across the way is
Disney's Beach Club Resort with the nostalgic favorite,
Beaches & Cream Soda Shop. I have so many memories there ordering some classic diner food and the over-the-top Kitchen Sink sundae. And if you can't make time for a table-service meal, there are always delicious sundaes and shakes that you can order from the to-go window! Talk about carefree summer energy and seaside charm!
Needless to say, any time is a good time to visit this corner of the resort. If you have any other questions,
I'm here for you!
Ciao for now,
Matt
