On our last trip, the kids became interested in pin trading for the first time. Now planning another return, they want to do some trading, but have pins they are not willing to part with - can they wear pins on their lanyard they are not willing to swap?

Hi, Megan! Yes, your kids can wear any pins they choose on their lanyards without worry.  When making trades, you choose the pin that you trade with the Cast Member.  They do not get to pick.  My family and I love pin trading, and routinely wear "traders" and "keepers" on our lanyards.  There has never been an issue.  Happy planning and have a Magical vacation!
