On our last trip a few years ago in Sept.,my husband and I stayed at All Star Sports. Love bugs were EVERYWHERE, including inside our room. Same time of year, is this also a problem in the hotels (like Contemporary) where the room entrances are inside?

    Hi Rebecca,

Those lovebugs , while harmless, are a nuisance and you are correct, they end up everywhere. We stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge two years ago, during the height of lovebug season, and we could barely enjoy our amazing view because of them.

Yes, typically the resorts with indoor entrances, like Contemporary and the Boardwalk are better in regards to this dilemma since your entrance and exit are not open to them . Don't forget though that most of these resort rooms offer balconies so that will create an opportunity for them to join you in your room. Be sure to keep the sliding doors shut and when found keeping the curtain drawn around the sliding door helped create a buffer when we would go onto the balcony.  The Disney housekeepers do an amazing job keeping the lovebugs where they belong, outside, and just remember they are harmless.

Wishing you an amazing and lovebug free trip!
