I last traveled to Disneyland in February 2018 at which time there were designated smoking areas within the park! I just found out that smoking is no longer allowed inside the park grounds! Not sure when this rule took effect but was wondering where smok

Hiya James! Thanks for stopping by planDisney.

It's been a hot minute since you've visited the Happiest Place on Earth! I am so excited for you to return. There are so many new adventures to enjoy. You are going to love the Avengers Campus at California Adventure! The last time we visited, we went on WEB SLINGERS four times in two days!

Speaking of new things, Disneyland Park and California Adventure are now smoke-free (the change happened about a year after your last visit). Smoking (including vaping) is prohibited in the parks, the Esplanade between the parks, and Downtown Disney. You will need to head off property to smoke, but there are a few conveniently located designated areas right past security:
⦿ Right outside the main entrance gates near the East Esplanade
⦿ As you exit Downtown Disney next to the Simba Parking Lot entrance
⦿ If you're a guest at any of the resort hotels, they will each have designated smoking areas

James, you can use the Disneyland app for walking directions (something else that's new!) to any of the designated areas. If you have any other questions, you know where to find us. I wish you a magical vacation!
