The last time we were in WDW, we wasted so much food because they gave you so much. We will be using the DDP again the next time we come. If we make a reservation for a sit down restaurant for 4 people, do we have to purchase a meal for all 4 of us?

Hi Kristen! Congrats on your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World! If you use the Disney Dining Plan (DDP) you aren't allowed to share meals at the Table Service (TS) locations, therefore you must redeem DDP TS credits for each guest in your party. However, at the Quick Service (QS) you don't need to order a meal for each guest and you can share meals. If you are worried about wasting food, consider eating at more QS locations rather than TS, then you can share meals and not order meals for those in your party who are simply not hungry. You can also substitute some of he heavier sides on he QS meals, such as French fries, for grapes or apples that can easily be stored in your bag for a snack later in the day. You can then save your snacks and just use them for bottles of water or snacks to bring back home with you! I hope you have a magical vacation! Magically, Stacy
