The last time I stayed at a Disney Resort, they offered a room credit if you did not have your room cleaned. Is this still an option?

Welcome to planDisney, Charlene. It is so great to hear from you.

This is such a great question as it concerns one of the recently updated experiences at Walt Disney World Resort hotels. Charlene, as you know, by using the Service Your Way program, you were able to opt-out of housekeeping services or "Mousekeeping" in exchange for a gift card. Because of recent changes to housekeeping procedures at Walt Disney World Resort hotels, this program is not currently available.

Charlene, as part of these new enhanced housekeeping procedures, you will now receive a light cleaning every other day, as opposed to every day. This light cleaning will include the removal of trash, refreshment of towels, and light surface cleaning. But the real magic happens before you arrive. Each and every room is given an all-new enhanced cleaning before the next guest checks in. This enhanced cleaning pays special attention to high-touch areas and steams cleans the floors. Additionally, amenities and glassware will be cleaned and wrapped in plastic, so you know everything is fresh just for you!

I hope that this helped, Charlene. Please come back here to planDisney if we can help as you plan your magical getaway!

    See you real soon!
