Last time family was at DW (long time ago) reservations were easy to get for that day. I even remember a video phone to make reservations on. With the new DDP are same day reservations hard to get? Have one for CRT but what if we want something else later?

    Heather,

Same day reservations are very difficult to get, particularly for certain very popular restaurants.  If you want to eat at, say, Olivia's at Old Key West you may have a decent shot at getting a reservation that day.  If you want to eat at Le Cellier in Epcot, forget it.  Many people call 3 months in advance only to find them completely booked.

This varies some based on when you are traveling as well.  If you are there in August/September during free dining, or over a holiday, you'll be very unlikely to get a reservation.  If you're visiting in mid-January, your chances are improved.  But again, for a popular eatery like Le Cellier it's still very doubtful that you'd get in.

I always recommend making reservations as far as possible in advance.  While you may be able to find something last-minute, that's no guarantee.  And what you find may not be at a time or location that is convenient for your family.

    Good luck!
