    As a last minute decision, we booked our FIRST family vacation to Disney; we leave in 20 days! We have the Dining Plus plan. As of now we only have 1 breakfast reserved and 1 dinner. Help me! I have an 8 yr old boy and a 6 yr old girl.

    How exciting that you will be visiting Walt Disney World for the very first time as a family in just 20 short days, Marci! You have made an excellent choice in purchasing the Disney Dining Plan for your vacation! If you have not done so already, I would recommend booking a Character Dining Experience, where you will be greeted table side by Disney Characters as you enjoy a delicious meal! My family's favorites include Chef Mickey's at Disney's Contemporary Resort featuring the "Fab 5" and 'Ohana's Best Friends Breakfast at Disney's Polynesian Resort which features Lilo, Stitch, Mickey and Pluto! Consider booking an Advanced Dining Reservation at T-REX Café or Rainforest Café located in Downtown Disney for a fun dining experience with a themed setting and life-size animatronic animals. Rainforest Café offers a second location in Disney's Animal Kingdom Park. My family enjoys many of the table-service restaurants in the World Showcase at Epcot. Our favorites include Teppan Edo in the Japan Pavilion, Les Chefs de France in the France Pavilion, Le Cellier Steakhouse in the Canada Pavilion, and Via Napoli in the Italy Pavilion. Some of the most popular dining locations can book up rather quickly.Try not to get discouraged if you encounter difficulty getting Advanced Dining Reservations at the restaurants I have listed as there are so many great dining options located throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. Other favorites which are often a little easier to secure Advanced Dining Reservations for include Kona Café at Disney's Polynesian Resort, Whispering Canyon Café at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, and 50's Prime Time Café located in Disney's Hollywood Studios. As a mom of four children which includes one daughter and three sons, I can understand wanting to choose restaurants that appeal to both boys and girls.
