We had to make a last minute change to our resort, from ASM to AOA because Disney decided to renovate the food court during our stay. We have done no research on AOA so can you give us a rundown please?

    Hi Derrek,

I think you'll be THRILLED with the switch from the All Stars to Art of Animation.

The Art of Animation resort opened during mid-2012, so everything is fresh, new, and state of the art. The main pool is gigantic, with a wonderful attached children's water play area. And in my opinion, the AoA food court is the best of all the value and moderate resorts on property. I've ventured over there several times just to eat. Most of the food court offerings are customizable, so you can create your own smoothie, pasta, salad, burger, and more. There are also innovative fresh Indian-style offerings including naan bread and tandoori chicken. Yum!

Additionally, AoA has it's own dedicated buses, so you'll encounter fewer transportation stops than you would at the All Stars. And if you're in the mood for a stroll, the Pop Century resort is a five minute walk away, giving you more to look at.

Another feature I love about AoA is that the buildings are configured with the room doors opening into an inside hallway rather than to the outdoors. This gives a more upscale feel and more protection in the case of poor weather.

Personally, I would choose staying at AoA over the All Stars every time.

    Have a great trip!
