The last few years there has been a Disney Parade on TV at Thanksgiving. Does the Thanksgiving Day Parade from Walt Disney World that we see on TV actually take place at the park on Thanksgiving Day? If not what day is it prerecorded on?

    Hi Michele,

Disney sometimes has a Thanksgiving parade in the parks, but I can't recall this ever being televised. You may be thinking of the Macy's parade in NYC which is televised on Thanksgiving. Disney does televise a parade every year on Christmas day. While the parade is shown on TV on Christmas, it is actually taped several weeks ahead of time. Typically the taping takes places during either the first or second weekend in December. The exact taping dates for 2012 have not yet been announced. Please let us know what else we can do to help with your planning.
