Hello, our last day we are checking out of the animal kingdom hotel and going to magic kingdom. Is it possible to bring our luggage to a Disney resort closer to MK so when we leave MK our luggage will be at a close resort instead of AK

Welcome to planDisney, Lisa, and thank you for such a great question. You'll be at Walt Disney World Resort in a few weeks, and like me, it sounds like you're a planner. I enjoy studying the logistics and finding the best ways to fit in as much Disney magic as possible! I'm sure you'd like to spend more time at Magic Kingdom Park and less time retrieving your luggage, so let's see your options.

I spoke to a friendly Cast Member who told me that Bell Services at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge would be happy to hold your luggage for you on your last day at no charge. But unfortunately, this service is only available at the Disney Resort Hotel where you are staying due to space constraints. So the resorts closer to Magic Kingdom Park could not hold your luggage for you. If you decide to leave your bags at Animal Kingdom Lodge, you will take the Disney Bus Service back to the resort to pick up your bags when you're ready to leave.

A fun alternate way to return to Animal Kingdom Lodge would be to use the Minnie Van Service. These polka-dot vans can whisk you back to Animal Kingdom Lodge perhaps a bit more quickly than the buses. So you'd have time to grab an extra churro and enjoy the show at Country Bear Jamboree!

One final suggestion is to rent a locker at Magic Kingdom Park if your luggage is carry-on size. The jumbo lockers are 17"x 22"x 26" and can be rented for the day. Lockers are subject to availability, so if you choose to go this route, I'd recommend being at the park at opening.

I hope I've given you some options to consider, Lisa. I'm sending happy thoughts and pixie dust that you'll have a fantastic adventure on your upcoming visit. Please feel free to stop by planDisney anytime. My bags are always packed and ready to go!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
