Bright Suns Lantos!
Thanks for bringing your question to us here at planDisney. I'd be more than happy to assist.
I'm excited to hear you're planning to visit
Savi's Workshop – Handbuilt Lightsabers during your visit to
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. You'll need a reservation to enjoy this experience in addition to valid admission and theme park reservation. Keep in mind that a builder may be accompanied by 2 guests during a reservation, but guests are not permitted to make lightsabers without their own reservation. Once your creation is compete and you are one with the Force you can also visit
Dok-Ondar's Den of Antiquities to purchase additional customization options, if desired. While you're enjoying your adventure in a galaxy far, far away be sure to fuel up with a snack from
Ronto Roasters and stay hydrated with a stop at the
Milk Stand. I always opt for the Green Milk during my visits.
When it's time to return to your own home planet you'll want to pack your new Lightsaber securely in its included carrying case for transport. I did some research and see that the US Transportation Security Administration (TSA) indicates that lightsabers are permitted in both carry-on luggage and checked bags. However, it's ultimately up to the TSA officer at the security checkpoint to give the final approval. I'm hoping you won't experience any issues, and remember, rebellions are built on hope.
Keep in mind that individual airlines may have their own restrictions for carry-on items, and international flights may also be subject to specific rules. I'd recommend reaching out to your airline to confirm in advance of your trip. You can also inquire about
shipping your items home, as my fellow panelist Tony discusses for another international guest.
Lantos, I hope this helps on your upcoming visit. Come back and see us again with more planning questions. We're always ready to pass on what we have learned.
May the Force be with you,
Amy
