What is the largest party for dinning in Prime Time Cafe? We have a party of 9.

    Welcome, Pat!

Happy New Year! I see that your trip is now less than two months away. Eek! Your excitement level must be building with each passing day as your trip date gets closer and closer. I'm so glad you asked this question, because 50's Prime Time Café is hands-down my all-time favorite restaurant in Walt Disney World Resort! Disney Imagineers are masters in storytelling, and there's no exception here. The attention to detail with mid-century modern furniture, black-and-white TVs playing clips of 1950's sitcoms and kitschy vintage decor will make your party feel as if they've been transported back to another era. Your servers also play a "role" in the storytelling through fun shenanigans ... Let's just say you will need to mind your manners and keep those elbows off the table!

In addition to incredible theming, 50's Prime Time Café offers a wide variety of homestyle comfort food and allergy-friendly items on its menu that are sure to satisfy any appetite. I suggest you order "A Sampling of Mom's Favorite Recipes" for a variety of the flavors they offer. For dessert, you absolutely must try their famous Peanut Butter & Jelly Milk Shake! Trust me - it is SO tasty!

50's Prime Time Café truly is the bee's knees when it comes to fun, immersive dining experiences and delicious food. Unfortunately, they typically aren't able to accommodate parties of seven or more at one table all together. I suggest you break your large party into two smaller groups and have one adult in each of those groups book a separate dining reservation within the same time frame. Once you check in at the restaurant or on your My Disney Experience App, let the Cast Member at the hostess stand know you have multiple reservations. They will do their best to seat your groups close together, though this is not guaranteed.

My multigenerational family group of 10 did exactly this when we dined at 50's Prime Time Café in November. Thankfully, they were able to seat us at adjacent tables so we could all still visit with one another. I know splitting your party into two groups isn't ideal, but I definitely think the overall experience here is worth it. However, if all nine members of your party being seated together is your top priority, I've had the most luck booking large parties at Boma - Flavors of Africa in Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge and Biergarten Restaurant in World Showcase in EPCOT. Both restaurants are typically able to accommodate your party size and have immersive experiences of their own.

Dining at Walt Disney World Resort is an integral part of your vacation experience, so I understand the importance of finding options that will fit your family's needs. Booking dining reservations for a party of nine can be a bit tricky. If you find yourself needing a little extra pixie dust in this arena, contact Disney Dining at 407-939-3463. They are experts at finding ways to work with large parties such as yours. With some creativity and persistence, I have no doubt you'll be able to find plenty of dining options for your magical vacation!

    Ta-ta for now!
