Hello Susan! Welcome to planDisney!
Did you know that the entirety of
Walt Disney World Resort is over 40 square miles? Now I certainly know you won't be walking it all, but your laps around the Theme Parks and to and from your
Disney Resorts Collection hotel just might make you feel like you are! With so many breathtaking attractions, shows, and immersive lands to visit, even I wish I had a stroller to fall into at the end of the night!
Walt Disney World makes it easy for your little one to remain rested and comfy throughout their days at the Parks, no matter how many steps you're putting in! With stroller rentals available in
every Park, you won't have to worry about carrying your little one from Tomorrowland to Frontierland, or from
The Seas with Nemo and Friends to
Frozen Ever After with Anna and Elsa.
To rent a stroller for Magic Kingdom Park, you will find the stroller rental near the main entrance of the Park, under the
Walt Disney World Railroad Station - Main Street, U.S.A. Here, you'll be able to rent a single or double stroller depending on your preference. While you only mention one child, if you're looking for a larger stroller so they have room to lay down or curl up and nap, you may be interested in renting a double. A double stroller holds up to 100 pounds, and because it is one bench seat, your little one will be able to stretch out and enjoy the Parks all day long. We've even found that "big kids", such as my 8-year-old nephew, fit just fine in Disney's strollers when they're tired enough!
The price of renting a stroller can be paid by the daily rate or for your entire length of stay. When renting a stroller at Walt Disney World Resort, you'll find that the strollers cannot be taken out of the Park they have been rented in. This means that if you choose to hop from one Park to another during the day you will not have the stroller on the transportation between the Parks. For our family, this is good news because we don't have to worry about bringing a bulky stroller on a bus or monorail. If you decide you would like a stroller again at the next Park of the day, simply present your receipt from the earlier rental and you will be given another stroller for no fee.
If you think you may want a stroller outside of the Parks, I would suggest either bringing one from home or renting from Disney's featured provider, Scooterbug, or another outside rental company. Scooterbug will deliver to your hotel and you will have the rental to use as you choose for your length of stay.
When we head to the Parks with kids (something we've been doing for many, many years now) we always bring a light blanket to use as a sunshade during naps or to cuddle up with at night. It just makes watching
Disney Enchantment, a little cozier!
Feel free to stop back and see us if you have any other questions, Susan!
