We have a large family group going to WDW this fall. When the parents are having a date night the grandparents are taking the kids to dinner. Can the kid's use their magicbands to pay for their meals with their dining credits? '

    Hello Darcy,

The Disney Dining Plan is a great addition to your Walt Disney World vacation, not only does it help families budget for their trip but it is easy and convenient to use.

While you and your husband are out enjoying a well deserved date-night, grandma and a grandpa simply need to enjoy a fun dinner with their grandkids. If dining at a quick-service restaurant, I recommend your children, with the help of the grandparents, order separately. At the time of check out, with the touch of one of their MagicBands, their Disney Dining Plan will be deducted accordingly. If at a table service restaurant, typically the server will ask, "Is anyone on the Disney Dining Plan?" This is when they would let them know your children are. If they are not asked, just let the server know and when it comes time to pay the bill, again with the simple touch of one of their MagicBands, the correct credits will be deducted.

If I can be of any further pixie dusted assistance feel free to ask and enjoy a spectacular night out at the most magical place in the world.

Meet the Panelist: Amy, Virginia

I am a Dreamer who has always believed dreams are meant to be the path to your future. Walt Disney, I believe, felt the same way, "All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them." Disney has always been proof that endless imagination and the passion to make them come to fruition is possible. I will never be to old for Disney, it is home to all of us Dreamers.
