Hi Tamie! Thank you for bringing your questions to the Moms Panel.
My husband and I are both from larger families, and though our family is smaller than yours, I understand the challenges of traveling with a family that does not fit in a standard hotel room. Walt Disney World Resort does have villa-style accommodations; however, the largest 3-bedroom villa accommodates up to 12 guests. Your most economical option would be three rooms at a
Moderate Resort or four rooms at a
Value Resort. All Resorts have unique architecture, wonderful pools, and put you right in the middle of the magic with
benefits such as complimentary
transportation and Extra Magic Hours. I recommend calling (407) 939-5277 for
assistance in reserving your vacation.
We do sometimes stay in vacation homes in various destinations, including near Walt Disney World. No matter which style of lodging you decide is the best fit for your family, the Moms Panel is happy to help you plan a wonderful vacation.
As far as managing your time, what I do is decide which 2-3 things are most important for each family member for each day of our vacation and make those our priorities. Walt Disney World is so vast, it is simply not possible to see everything in one visit, or even several! We will occasionally split up based on interests and meet up again later. Trust me, my 12-year-old son was very happy he was not required to visit Ariel with his sisters!
I hope that helps. Please visit us again if you have additional questions.
