Hi Maite!
Visiting the Walt Disney World theme parks during the holiday season is a treat for anyone! Experiencing the magic and the decor will warm your heart, as will the familiar Christmas songs in the parks and the characters all dolled up in their holiday regalia.
Christmas Day and New Years Day are two of the busiest days in the calendar year of Walt Disney World. All of the theme parks experience high attendance levels, as well as park closures due to crowd capacity. Personally, I'm a Magic Kingdom kind of gal, so I would choose MK for both days. There are special parades and fireworks on both days at MK and there's always something magical about being in front of Cinderella Castle on Christmas Day, or counting down the clock to say "Happy New Year!" Epcot also hosts special fireworks as well as DJ's and "dance parties" throughout World Showcase, up until 1 am.
My best suggestion for a successful Christmas and New Years Day is get to the parks EARLY! And as you are not a staying at a Walt Disney World resort, it is probably best if you do not leave the park. Many a time guests have left the parks to go back to their hotel to rest, and have not been able to return, due to park closings.
