How large is the Downtown Disney area? Is it easy to walk between the three areas in a couple hours? We are planning to visit and eat there our first night before hitting the parks all week. I have a son who would like the Lego area and DisneyQuest.

    Hello Melinda,

The Downtown Disney Area is host to a plethora of diverse shops, restaurants and entertainment and all Guests are sure to find something that caters to their interests.

If your only plan is to explore and play in DisneyQuest Indoor Interactive Theme Park, make your son's brick building dreams come true at The Lego Store, along with an amazing dinner to settle the rumbly in your tumbly, I would estimate, minus the dining time, to spend close to 2.5 or more hours. But while the Downtown Disney Area is easily walkable, it does seem to tempt you to stay a little longer and search a little more than Guests typically estimate. Magical items and delectable goodies seem to call your name at every window display and you can't help but say, "Ohhhhhhhh, just one more store," so keep this in mind.

If I can be of any further pixie dusted assistance feel free to ask and may your upcoming stay at Walt Disney World be filled with many magical and memorable moments.

Meet the Panelist: Amy, Virginia

I am a Dreamer who has always believed dreams are meant to be the path to your future. Walt Disney, I believe, felt the same way, "All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them." Disney has always been proof that endless imagination and the passion to make them come to fruition is possible. I will never be to old for Disney, it is home to all of us Dreamers.
