Hi again, Kristin! My family loves to stay at the Walt Disney World Resorts before we set off on our high seas adventures with Disney Cruise Line. They make it so easy to transition from land to sea and back again!
As I mentioned in my previous answer, you may need to choose a Port Arrival Time when you begin your
online check-in 75 days prior to sailing. Go ahead and choose one around 1:00, but don't worry about getting to the port at that exact time. You have the luxury of being whisked away from your resort in the comfort of Disney Cruise Line's motorcoach while you watch Disney Cruise Line videos and classic Disney cartoons to pass the time. Before you know it, you'll be arriving at Port Canaveral to begin your cruise vacation! The Cast Members at Port Canaveral will be ready to greet you as you step off the motorcoach!
The night before you set sail, you'll receive a note in your resort room letting you know what time your bags will be picked up from your room the next morning and what time to meet the motorcoach. Each time we've left our resort to go out to sea, our bags have been picked up in our room around 8:00 a.m. Our motorcoach pick up time was normally around 11 or 11:30, sometimes noon. Again, you'll get specifics the night before for your exact trip, as it can vary based on how many other guests will be cruising from your resort and the two other resorts that will share your motorcoach. Keep a day bag with you with any necessities you'll need, as you won't see your luggage again until it magically arrives in your stateroom on the ship later that afternoon.
There isn't an easier way to make your way from land to sea and back again, Kristin! Have fun planning and let me know if I can help with anything else!
