we land late on October 29th and staying on resort until 31sth then in a house til 12 of November. looking at getting 6 days with water park tickets when we book our room. but it says the tickets are vailed from October 29th. is there a way to change that?

    Hello Christopher,

Welcome back to planDisney! It’s always nice to see a Guest return with more questions, so I’m glad you stopped by! You’ve picked a great time to visit the Walt Disney World Resort. The Halloween festivities will be wrapping up and winter holiday decor will be going up! My favorite seasonal event, the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival will also be in full swing. Be sure to leave yourself plenty of time to stroll, sip, and savor your way around World Showcase at this fan-favorite festival!

Christopher, when you book a room and ticket package online, it automatically defaults your first day of park ticket validity to your check-in day. Since you are getting in late, I agree that you don’t want to begin your tickets on that day. A 6-Day Theme Park Ticket with Water Parks and Sports Option expires 10 days after the selected start date, so moving that start date to October 30 or 31, is a good idea.

If you haven’t already booked, you have two options. You can call to book the package and the Cast Member can select the later date for your tickets, or you can book your room and your tickets separately, rather than as a package.

If you have already booked, you have a different set of choices. You can call and have your tickets upgraded to a later start date, or you can do it at a ticket window or Guest services once you arrive. I recommend doing it in advance so you aren’t wasting valuable vacation time on the process, and so that you can make the required Disney Park Pass Reservations. Waiting could mean you are unable to secure a reservation and so I would highly discourage you from waiting until arrival. Do know that tickets with an October 30 and 31 start date are slightly more expensive than those starting on October 29, and you will be required to pay the difference no matter which method of upgrading you choose.

I know calls can have long hold times right now, so I recommend calling at exactly 7 AM Eastern for the shortest waits.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions I can help you with, Christopher. We love talking Disney and are here to help!
