Can I laminate my magical extras card? Will it still be accepted if I do?

Welcome to planDisney, Rachel! You'll be arriving at Walt Disney World Resort soon, and it sounds like you've booked a fabulous vacation package. Let's look at how you can use and protect your Magical Extras card during your visit.

I chatted with a protective Cast Member named Terry who said that as long as all the information on the card is fully visible, laminating it should be fine. But as a former teacher, I've had lamination go terribly wrong, Terry. I'm sure it was user error, but I remember a traumatic incident when I had to throw away an entire roll of clear contact paper. I suggest finding a clear plastic sleeve, such as the type used in wallets to protect photos, and putting your card there for safekeeping.

I recently purchased a card wallet at World of Disney in Disney Springs. It has a clear card holder designed for a photo ID, but I use it for my annual pass card. A small wallet like that would be the perfect spot to store your Magical Extras card. Keep an eye out when you arrive; it would be a practical purchase and a fun souvenir!

If you make it to Disney Springs, you should be able to take advantage of the Magical Extras discounts at many shops and restaurants there. You'll receive a discount at House of Blues Restaurant & Bar, where my husband and I watched the Super Bowl recently. The Everything Legendary Burger is 100% delicious...and 100% plant-based!

Rachel, I hope your visit is as smooth and unscathed as possible! Protect that magical card and have a blast. Please stop by planDisney anytime!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
