Hi ladies! We are going to be at Walt Disney World at the end of December and into the new year! My question in what goes on to celebrate the new year?!

Oh boy, Amanda! With everything decked out for the holidays and excitement in the air, there is just about no better place to usher in 2019.

While not all of the specific information is available yet, in past years there were special fireworks displays and dance parties that go way past the countdown to midnight at several of the theme parks. And this year, there's a huge celebration going on at Disney's Contemporary Resort. If headed to the parks, a good plan for New Year's Eve is to spend the full day at the parks. Arrive by late morning to guarantee you'll be able to get in, and enjoy the festivities.

New this year, Disney's Contemporary Resort resort is the place to be if you want to party like you're in a Pixar movie. Pixar Party: A New Year's Eve Celebration puts you right in the middle of your Pixar favorites from Toy Story, Up, and more. There is a luscious buffet meal, special activities for kids, and a DJ. The party culminates with guests heading out to the Porte Cochere to view the Magic Kingdom fireworks.

Disney's Countdown to Midnight: A New Year's Eve Celebration is a bit more elegant of an event. Live music, themed photo opportunities, and delicious bites from some of Disney World's signature restaurants are just a few of the evening's highlights. You can add onto that experience with a VIP trip to the Disney Ink and Paint Club lounge, combining sophistication and animation.

    Enjoy a wonderful visit!
