Is La Hacienda a good option for gluten free?? Typically Mexican restaurants are… Sadly a lot of restaurants in Epcot don’t have an allergy menu

Hi there, Agatha! I'm so glad you brought this question to us at planDisney.

It sounds like you've got your priorities right! When planning a trip to Walt Disney World Resort, my primary focus is always on the delicious dining right at my fingertips. I love to make lists of meals and snacks that I can't wait to try as soon as my feet step onto Main Street, U.S.A.! I also deeply appreciate the way that Walt Disney World Resort does its best to accommodate all Guests and their specific needs. I'm happy to help you navigate gluten-free dining during your magical vacation!

La Hacienda de San Angel will be a great location for you to find an array of gluten-free options! With choices including corn tortillas and rice, you're sure to find many dishes that will be practically perfect in every way. However, you'll be happy to know that many restaurants in EPCOT can also accommodate your dietary requests! Personally, I think you'll be able to find some delicious options at Coral Reef Restaurant, Connections Eatery, Rose & Crown Dining Room, Sunshine Seasons, Nine Dragons Restaurant, and Le Cellier Steakhouse. In fact, if you do an online search for a specific restaurant and "gluten-free menu," you'll be able to find many recent resources that can help with your meal planning!

Agatha, Special Dietary Requests are handled so well at Walt Disney World Resort and I hope you feel confident in making dining choices that feel just right for you. Many restaurants can accommodate common allergy-friendly requests like eggs, milk, and wheat. Restaurants will also do their best to accommodate some less common allergy requests, like gluten- or lactose-free meals. If any Guest has four or more allergy requests, requires pureed meals, or needs to adhere to a medically-restrictive diet, they can ask for a Special Diets Request Form by emailing the Special Diets team at Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com. This request can be made up to 14 days prior to your trip!

Additionally, I think you'll love the My Disney Experience app as an extra magical resource! Log into your app and tap the plus sign in the bottom center of the screen. Tap "Order Food," then select a nearby quick-service restaurant to view their menu. Then, you can scroll down and view the Gluten/Wheat Allergy-Friendly menu, if available. For example, when selecting Connections Eatery, you'll be able to view and select your desired gluten-friendly meal to mobile order. It's like having a magic wand in the palm of your hand!

I hope you have an extra magical trip filled with happy memories and delicious dining! If you have any other questions, please visit us again. After all, you've got a friend in me!

    To infinity and beyond!
