    I know that the week after Christmas is a crowded time, but this is the only time my husband will be able to go to Disney this year. We are thinking of arriving on Christmas Day. This is our first trip there. Are all areas open on Christmas Day?

    Absolutely everything is open at Walt Disney World on Christmas. I spent Christmas Day at the parks in 2010 (just a few weeks ago) and found everything to be operational including the rides, shows, transportation and restaurants.

    You are correct that Christmas is crowded, but with good planning, it can be manageable. If that's what your schedule allows for, then I say, "Go for it."
