Hello Isabella! Thank you for bringing your question to planDisney.
As you may be aware, Walt Disney World Resort began its
phased reopening of the parks last month with enhanced
health and safety measures in place. To foster physical distancing, some
experiences have been modified or may remain closed.
At this time,
Disneyland Park and
Disney California Adventure Park remain closed. While we hope they may be able to reopen prior to 2021 pending state and local government approval, no target opening date for these parks has been announced. The
Downtown Disney District is currently open.
I know many of us are eager to get back to our happy place. Some Walt Disney World Guests who have experienced "
Returning to a World of Magic" in recent weeks have enjoyed light crowds and low wait times for attractions, as well as some new surprises, such as pop-up Character Cavalcades. Other Guests prefer to wait until their favorite shows, character greetings, and nighttime spectaculars have resumed.
Isabella, I don't think any of us know what to expect a year from now. When I think back to this time a year ago, I never would have imagined our current situation. I am confident that Disney Parks will continually evaluate local and world conditions with guidance from health authorities, and adjust operations accordingly. Protecting the health and safety of Guests and Cast Members is a priority. With a little
Faith, Trust, and Pixie Dust, I'm certain all the magic of Disney Parks will return someday. We all hope that day will be soon.
