I know that any time children are out of school the crowds at Disney World will be greater. I'm trying to decide between Columbus Day weekend and Thanksgiving weekend. Which would be better?

    Hi there Melissa!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question!  You are very wise to consider crowd levels when planning a Walt Disney World vacation, and you're absolutely correct that the crowds are usually greater when schools are out of session. I have personally vacationed over Columbus Day weekend and also Thanksgiving weekend. In fact, my family spent 8 nights at the Walt Disney World Resort this past November over the Thanksgiving break. Based on my own personal experience, I would have to recommend Columbus Day weekend since it was less crowded than Thanksgiving weekend. That being said, the weekend prior to Thanksgiving Day was a great time to visit in regards to lower crowd levels.

I hope this information is helpful in making the best decision for your family. Please don't hesitate to visit us again with any additional questions that you may have. Best wishes for a magical trip, Melissa!

    Happy Travels,
