Unfortunately there is no public schedule of Disney star appearances in
the parks. As you obviously know, Disney stars do sometimes make it to
the WDW parks for special events or some sort of filming. These types
of events are quite changeable, a glitch in the star's schedule or even
a weather issue could force an alteration of plans or cancelation right
up until the last minute. Rather than disappoint guests by having them
wait for a star that ends up not appearing, Disney would rather have a
delightful surprise for guests who happen to be at the parks at the
time.
When my family was vacationing at WDW in February, we
were at the Animal Kingdom on the way to the Safari ride. We saw a film
crew and stopped for a moment to see what was going on. As it turned
out it was Moises Arias, Rico of
Hannah Montana, taping a
promotional piece. I have to tell you that my girls were surprised and
very delighted to find him there. This was a fun story that the girls
could "wow" their friends at school with when we got home, and there's
no way we could have planned for it to happen.
Even if there were a public schedule, I would find it extremely
unlikely that Disney Channel celebrities would be at WDW during a holiday weekend. The one public figure that I do know will be at WDW during the time of your visit is John O'Hurley of
Seinfeld and
Dancing with the Stars. He is the celebrity guest narrator for the Candlelight Processional at Epcot on November 28-30, 2008. You can read more about this
HERE.
Oh, and I'll be at WDW during the time of your visit. Please stop and say "Hi" if you see me in the parks. That's just the same as meeting Miley, right? [insert uncontrollable laughter here ;-)]
Have a great trip!
