I know that you can share a table service meal at most restaurants, but can you still do this if you are using the Disney Dining Plan?

    Hello, Katherine!

Thanks for coming back to planDisney with this great question. I'm excited you have a visit planned later this year and I'm happy to assist!

Dining plans returned on January 9, and you can almost still hear the cheers from adoring fans. Guests have the option to add the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan or Disney Dining Plan to their Vacation Packages, which will give each guest on the reservation (over age 3) a set number of meals and snacks per night of stay. I haven't used a dining plan on any of my past trips but I've been hearing great reviews from friends who have recently used the latest variations! I'm definitely considering adding one to my next Vacation Package.

I reached out to a Cast Member to get into the nitty gritty of your question and they reminded me that with the Disney Dining Plan, a Table Service meal will be used for each meal ordered. They also mentioned that it would be up to the specific location as to whether they'd let you share one Table Service Meal between two guests. I'd recommend inquiring when you arrive to be sure you can dine according to plan.

Keep in mind that Fine/Signature Dining Restaurants and select Character Dining locations require two meals when redeeming. Be sure to review the details when making your advance dining reservations. Additionally, pre-fixed family-style venues such as Liberty Tree Tavern and Character Dining Meals like Tusker House Restaurant will automatically deduct a Table Service meal for each guest on the reservation, even if they choose to share. This is also the case when paying out of pocket at buffet and family-style Table Service venues.

I hope this helps get you started crafting the perfect dining to-do list. If we can answer additional questions please don't hesitate to come back and let us know.

    Bon appétit!!
