Hi Samantha Jane,
December is one of my
favorite times of the year to visit the Walt Disney World Resort! The entire Resort comes to life with the magic of the
holidays, and the decorations, music, and festivities will surely fill your heart with holiday joy and warm, fuzzy memories!
At this point, we don't know
which attractions will be non-operational due to refurbishments this December. I'd encourage you to keep your eye on the
park hours calendar. Park hours are released around 180 days in advance, and as long as the "Refurbishment" box is checked at the top of the page, you'll be able to see right there which attractions, if any, will be closed at each theme park during your visit. Not all refurbishment announcements are made six months in advance, though, so feel free to check in again closer to your visit. Once you arrive, a great way to see if any rides are temporarily closed is to check the map within the
My Disney Experience mobile app. Any attractions that are not currently available will be marked with a star. The great thing is each theme park is packed with entertaining things to do, so even if one attraction is not operational, you'll still have a day FULL of magic and fun!
Thanks so much for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel again, Samantha Jane, and please bring us any other questions that you may have as you're planning your trip. I hope that you have a truly magical vacation this December!
