Do you know if they rent bikes with children/toddler seats at any of the resorts for a day? If so, how much do they run. Also, if they do are there paths that connect some or all the resorts? Thanks so much in advance!

I am at WDW right now and asked a very nice cast member at the bike rental area of Port Orleans your question today. He told me that the resorts that rent bikes (most, but not all, of the moderate and deluxe hotels) do have a limited number of child seats that can be attached to adult bikes. They should also have bikes in adult and child sizes as well as bikes with training wheels. They also have helmets available. Several of the resorts have multi-rider surrey bikes available. Prices do change, but as of January 2008 standard adult bike rental rates were about $9.00 per hour or $30.00 per day.

As far as interesting and lengthy bike routes go, I might suggest those from the Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness. The WL and campgrounds are connected by a well-maintained path through the woods that is often used for jogging and biking. On my last visit to the Wilderness Lodge, about a year ago, my family was on a surrey bike near Fort Wilderness and we saw a family of deer grazing in the woods. We were able to stop and watch them quietly for nearly half an hour. My girls still talk about this. The bike routes around the Port Orleans resort are also interesting. You could ride from PO to near Downtown Disney and take in the scenery there.
