Hello Micheli!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! You’ll be happy to know that children under 3 years old do not need theme park admission to Walt Disney World. I often recommend this age as a great time to make a visit, since the child is old enough to enjoy the sights and sounds, but does not require a park ticket. Do know that this also means you cannot purchase the Disney Dining Plan for children under 3, but you can purchase them their own meal if you desire. At buffet dining locations, children this age can dine for free from an adult’s plate. While you will not be required to show a passport to prove your nephew's age, I would travel with whatever documentation you feel comfortable with.
At Walt Disney World, children are considered to be between the ages of 3 and 9, and those ages 10 and over are considered adults. Your 11 year old niece then, would be considered an adult and would require an adult park admission, and if using the Disney Dining Plan would be at the adult price.
I hope this helps with your planning, Micheli. I notice you are from Santa Catarina. If I am correct, I believe that is in Brazil! I just wanted to take a moment to introduce you to our two panelists from Brazil,
Camila and
Gina who are available to answer questions in both English and Portuguese. Feel free to submit any questions to either the English or
Portuguese Moms Panel site as you like. Thanks for stopping by!
Wishing you a Magical Day!
