Hi- I know in the past guests at either of the Port Orleans resorts were allowed to pool hop between either of the Port Orleans (Riverside & French Quarter) Resorts. Are guests still allowed to do this? Thanks!

Hello there, Jennifer! We appreciate you taking the time to visit planDisney. You've asked a great question, so let's dive into the details!

I admit that my kids usually pick our Walt Disney World Resort hotel based on the quality of the pool; there are many unique choices! Generally speaking, pool hopping is frowned upon, with a few exceptions. Luckily, your situation just so happens to be one of those exceptions! Guests at both Disney's Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter and Disney's Port Orleans Resort – Riverside can use the pools at both resorts without issue. Make some waves riding through the mouth of the 51-foot-long snaking sea serpent waterslide at French Quarter's Doubloon Lagoon. Then take the short walk over to the Riverside sister resort's Ol' Man Island pool, fashioned to look straight out of a Tom Sawyer illustration. After all that splashtastic fun, treat yourself to a Hurricane cocktail at Mardi Grogs or Muddy Rivers Pool Bar.

Besides the pools, both resorts are known for their fun Recreation Activities. I'm happy to report the recent return of the Sassagoula River Carriage Rides (you can call 60 days in advance to book) and Live Jazz Music at Scat Cat's (grab some beignets while you're here).

We hope to see ya real soon, Jennifer!
