I know in order to stay at Shades of Green you have to be affiliated with the military, but I was wondering if anyone could go there for dinner? I saw they have a restaurant named Mangino's and would like to eat there, but we are not armed services.

    Hi Cynthia,

Thank you for visiting the Moms Panel.  Shades of Green is an Armed Forces Recreation Center serving members and their families.  In order to access the resort and any of its amenities, including dining at Mangino's, a valid military ID is required.  I'm sorry that you will not be able to dine there, but there are many, many, other fine restaurants within the Walt Disney World Resort complex to choose from.

If you're looking for some great Italian food, look no further than Italy at Epcot.  My personal favorite is Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria.  Specializing in Southern Italian cuisine, you're sure to find a delicious item on their menu.  I've ordered several a la carte items, but my all time favorite is their pizza.  You can watch your pizza bake in their cavernous wood fired ovens right from your table.  It's a great family atmosphere and I know you'll enjoy it.  Advanced Dining Reservations are highly recommended.

I hope you found this information helpful.  We'd love to see you back here at the Moms Panel if you have additional questions.

    Arrivederci,
