Hello, Stacey, and welcome back to planDisney!
Planning a visit to Walt Disney World Resort is very exciting, and there are so many
dining options throughout the parks and resorts! I have 4 children, ranging from 6-years-old to 13, and they can all be picky at times. Our oldest was able to order from the kids' menu one night when he couldn't find anything else he liked on the main dinner menu. I would suggest checking with your server or even speaking to a Cast Member at the host stand.
I would recommend making dining reservations before your visit. All Guests are currently able to
make dining reservations online up to 60 days in advance. I always make advanced dining reservations when our family visits Walt Disney World, whether it's breakfast at our Resort Hotel or dinner in one of the parks. It gives me peace of mind and allows our family of 6 to have a minimal wait time when we’re ready for dinner after a busy day of fun in the parks.
I also suggest using the
My Disney Experience app for mobile food orders at participating quick-service restaurants during your visit. The ability to order ahead and even customize some menu items is very convenient. After selecting a participating restaurant, Guests can select an arrival time and make food selections. You can pay for
mobile food and beverage orders using a credit card, debit card, Disney Gift Card, Disney Rewards Redemption Card, or Apple Pay.
I'm glad you mentioned allergies. I'm allergic to some tree nuts, so I have to be careful when ordering from any restaurant. Most quick-service and table-service locations at Walt Disney World can accommodate common food allergies and intolerances such as eggs, fish, gluten, milk, peanuts, shellfish, soy, tree nuts, and wheat. In fact, Walt Disney World Resort is committed to offering a wide range of culinary options for Guests with
special dietary requests.
If you have not read about
dietary requests on disneyworld.com, I would suggest doing so. You'll learn that "most Disney table-service and major quick-service restaurant locations offer allergy-friendly menus or allergy guides to address common allergies and intolerances." Disney uses "reasonable efforts in food sourcing, preparation and handling procedures to avoid the introduction of the named allergens into your menu choices. While we take steps to prevent cross-contact, we do not have separate allergy-friendly kitchens and are unable to guarantee that a menu item is completely free of allergens."
Please visit planDisney again if we can assist you with any other questions as you continue planning your Walt Disney World Resort vacation.
Have a magical day!
Bob
