Hi moms! I know there is no more Welcome Show at MK Station. But I know the MK is now opening one hour early for the Welcome Show at the Castle. Can We bring a table cloth and food to do a picninc breakfast early in the morning and wait the welcome show?

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Fernando!

If you haven’t experienced the new Let the Magic Begin welcome show at Magic Kingdom Park, you’re in for a treat! It is a different experience than the one that used to be at the main entrance, but it’s awfully nice to walk down Main Street, U.S.A. early in the morning and take in the sights, smells and sounds with a typically smaller crowd than you might find later in the day. That said, there will still be a crowd gathered in front of the Cinderella Castle stage prior to the performance. In my experience, crowds will typically gather right in front of the stage as well as to its left to enter Liberty Square and to its right to enter Tomorrowland (after the show ends and Magic Kingdom Park officially opens for the day).

Even though it wouldn’t afford you a close-up view of the stage, I would recommend enjoying your breakfast picnic in one of the Plaza Garden areas (either in front of Casey’s Corner or The Plaza Restaurant). These walled-in, grassy areas are a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the early morning. Let the Magic Begin will start five minutes prior to “rope drop,” so if you arrive right when Magic Kingdom Park opens its main gates, you should have plenty of time to enjoy your breakfast and the welcome show, too.

Enjoy your visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth, Fernando! Let us know if there’s anything else we can recommend to make your vacation even more magical.
